·Cecelia Anderson, Youth Program Coordinator

We are so excited you are considering sending your child to the Y’s afterschool program at Central School, where they will grow into a caring, honest, respectful, and responsible child.  Through educational enrichment activities, physical play, using their imagination, and just plain old having fun, your child will be safe, engaged, and active with our afterschool program.

In everything we do, our focus is to build kids up to be strong, both physically, mentally, and in good character.

We build character by imparting and challenging our kids to hold themselves to our YMCA core values of honesty, caring, respect, and responsibility.

We will, together with your child, explore the world, make life-long friends, and expand their horizons.  With your child, we will read to them every day, make the next great art masterpiece, play games in French and Spanish, blow things up with our crazy science experiments, be totally cheesy acting in plays, and support your child as they get their homework done.

We will be there for you and your child every day school is in session.  Days without school, the Y has an on-site day camp program.  If school is cancelled due to poor weather, the afterschool program will be cancelled.
